With identity theft on the rise, The Stephenson National Bank &
Trust is pleased to introduce Fraud Detective, an automated system to
monitor your ATM/Debit Card transactions for potentially fraudulent
activity. This service is automatically provided to SNBT customers free
of charge! |

| We May Be Calling
You! |
| If there is potential fraud, you’ll receive an
automated phone call (will display as “Fraud Detection Center
866-750-9107”). Under no circumstances will you be asked for your
account number or PIN! To ensure you can be reached, keep us
informed of changes to your phone number(s), postal and email addresses.
In addition, please notify us in advance of foreign travel. |

| If a call is received, enter your zip code and follow
the instructions, answering “yes” or “no” to validate recent
transactions. If the automated call reaches your answering machine, a
message will be left containing a phone number and case code. If
you do not return the call, future transactions may be declined.
In the event of an unauthorized transaction, you will be transferred
to a Call Center Analyst. Our goal, quite simply, is to protect you from
fraud! |

| Protect Yourself: |

Monitor your account activity and contact us
immediately if you identify any fraudulent transactions. We offer two
free services to access your account information 24 hours a day: |
|

| For even more protection, including monitoring of your
credit report, register for
Security Plus. |

| Unless absolutely required for a
legitimate purpose, avoid giving out your: |

Address, zip code, and phone number
-
Date of birth
-
Social Security number
-
Card/account number or expiration date
-
NOTE: Your PIN is private; never give
it out under any circumstances

In stores, restaurants, and
at ATMs, always cover your card number and PIN. Watch for: |

Cell phone cameras, mirrors, or other tools
used to view cards and PINs
-
People watching you and your transactions
-
Cashiers taking your card out of sight;
instead, take it to the register yourself

Any unusual activity at ATMs; if you feel
uncomfortable, go to another ATM

Never respond to unsolicited
emails that: |
- Ask you to verify your card or account number; such emails are
not sent by legitimate businesses
- Link to websites; sites can look legitimate but may collect data
or put spyware on your computer
|
|
If you are EVER uncertain about the legitimacy of a phone call, hang
up and call the bank immediately to verify.

How do you tell a real call from a fake call? |
|
FAKE: Recently, customers have received fraudulent
phone calls stating that their Debit Card or credit card has been
suspended or closed. The message asked them to call back to reactivate
their card. This is a scam. Do not to respond to any phone calls
asking for card numbers, account numbers, PIN, or other personal
information. |

Unless

REAL: With the
activation of SNBT's new
Fraud Detective service, you may receive legitimate calls from
"Fraud Detection Center" that alert you to suspicious activity. A call
from SNBT will ONLY ask you to enter your zip code and ask about a
specific transaction; under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will you be asked to
provide your card number or PIN. |
