SNB&T Earns Financial Education Award

For the eighth year in a row, the staff of The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNB&T) earned recognition for their outstanding work in financial education. The Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) presented the award to SNB&T at the recent Consumer Education Conference.

“This award recognizes the significant commitment of time and resources that SNB&T commits to financial education,” said WBA President Kurt Bauer. “Individually, these employees make a difference in the lives of those who might not otherwise receive this valuable instruction.”

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust received this award due to its commitment to growing financial literacy in the community. Recent activities include: making presentations for Get Smart About Credit Day, taking part in Teach Children to Save Day, hosting seminars, making various classroom presentations to students of all ages, hosting bank tours for students, sponsoring Newspaper in Education, and funding local scholarships.

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust joined other Wisconsin bankers who reached over 50,000 students and 70,000 individuals at schools, community centers and workshops in the past year.

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust is a 133-year old independent community bank with assets of $236 million and Trust assets exceeding $196 million.  Offices are located in Marinette and Oconto, WI and Menominee, MI. For more about The Stephenson National Bank & Trust visit www.snbt.com.
