Heabel Earns Bank Award for Notable Service

Darlene Heabel recently received the 2008 Mary L. Staudenmaier WINGS (Worthy Individual Noted for Generous Service) Award. Named in honor of The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNB&T) chairman of the board, the award celebrates an employee’s outstanding commitment to community service.
“This award is named in honor of our leading community servant – Mary Staudenmaier,” explained John Reinke, SNB&T president.  “Her record of community involvement is almost unparalleled in our area.”

Heabel is a Customer Service Representative and Personal Banker at the bank’s Oconto office. She pledged 195 hours of community service among four organizations: Boy Scouts of America, Crivitz Area Food Pantry, Crivitz Elementary School, and NEWCare Home.

An experienced Personal Banker and customer service representative, Heabel joined SNB&T in 2006; she worked at the Marinette office until being transferred in February 2008 to the bank’s Oconto office at 101 Bralick Way.

She is responsible for meeting with customers, answering questions, discussing their financial needs and recommending accounts to meet those needs. In addition, she processes daily transactions with accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality while providing excellent customer service.

Heabel, a graduate of Crivitz High School, has 27 years of customer service experience and has completed various courses from the Institute of Financial Education. Heabel lives in Crivitz with her husband and two children.

To recognize her accomplishment, Heabel received the WINGS plaque and her name and photograph will be added to the WINGS display in the Marinette location.  In addition, the bank will make a $500 contribution in her name to the organization of her choice.

SNB&T encourages bank employees to be active in the community, serving on boards of directors, volunteering in schools and a variety of non-profit organizations. The WINGS award was created to celebrate this generosity of spirit and to recognize an employee’s contributions to individual volunteer efforts. Previous WINGS recipients are Dave Meyer, Julie Beyer, Julie Nygren, Jeff Wilinski, Perry Carlson, Charlie Cappaert and Dan Peterson.

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust is a 134-year old independent community bank with assets of $248 million and Trust assets exceeding $170 million.  Offices are located in Marinette and Oconto, Wis. and Menominee, Mich.
