SNB&T Plans Community Shred Day

In an effort to help protect the community from fraud and identity theft, The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNB&T) is planning a Community Shred Day. The event will be held on Saturday, September 19 from 10:00am to 1:00pm in the Marinette office parking lot located at 1820 Hall Avenue.

“We already know that identity theft is becoming America’s fastest growing financial crime,” said John Reinke, SNB&T president. “Because of this, protecting yourself from becoming a victim has never been more important.”

People are encouraged to bring their personal documents to be shredded for free, on-site by Country Mile Document Destruction. There is a 20 pound paper limit per person. Popcorn and lemonade will be served.

“This is the perfect time to purge your filing cabinets of old account statements, bills, and other confidential information,” continued Reinke. “By disposing of your personal records in a safe environment, you don’t have to worry about these items getting in the wrong hands.”

During the three-hour event, Rainbow house will be available to collect donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries.
