Kadie L. Truitt, Assistant Vice President of The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNBT), was recently awarded the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB), a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, in Washington, DC.

“Kadie’s accomplishment truly demonstrates her commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional knowledge in order to benefit our clients”, said Greg Salmen, Senior Vice President and Trust Manager.  “We are extremely pleased to have four CTFAs in our Trust Department, which gives us even more depth and strength to offer superior financial solutions to our clients.”

The CTFA designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of wealth management and trust. To qualify for the CTFA certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide by a code of ethics.

Through the CTFA certification, ICB validates individuals’ knowledge and expertise by promoting the highest standards of performance in the financial services industry. The CTFA exam covers many areas including fiduciary and trust activities, financial planning, tax law and planning, investment management, and ethics.
