SNBT to Hold Retirement Educational Open Houses

Statistics show that every day more than 10,000 Baby Boomers turn 65, this trend will continue for the next 19 years. To help people of all ages prepare for retirement, The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNBT) will be hosting retirement information sessions at each of its offices, which are open to the public.

“In this economy, people need to benefit from every advantage available to help with retirement planning,” said John Reinke, SNBT President. “Knowing how to chart their retirement course and how to adjust their level of savings will prepare these individuals for a comfortable retirement.”

SNBT has the area’s largest group of highly trained, certified retirement experts. These experts include ten employees who hold the prestigious Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) designation and six employees with the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation. SNBT is the only local financial institution with employees to hold the CISP credentials.  They will be on hand to explain retirement savings options, tactics, and planning tools to people in every phase of retirement planning.

“Having these expert advisors means that our knowledge goes beyond the generic ‘retirement planner’ title. It proves that SNBT can provide superior investment advice in retirement accounts, investment management, personal finance, estate planning, tax law, and fiduciary activities,” continued Reinke.

Make plans to attend one of the three sessions open to the public:
     • Oconto at 101 Bralick Way on Saturday, March 12 from noon to 3:00pm, a short presentation will take place at 1:00pm
     • Menominee at 1111 Tenth Street on Saturday, March 19 from noon to 3:00pm, a short presentation will take place at 1:00pm
     • Marinette at 1820 Hall Avenue on Saturday, March 26 from 9:00 am to noon, a short presentation will take place at 10:00am
For more information, call SNBT at 715-732-1732.

This program is designed for anyone who plans to retire at some point. Regardless of what stage a person may be in, whether they have not yet begun to plan, they already have a program in place, they are near retirement, or they are currently retired. Everyone will learn the answers to the most commonly asked questions: 1. What should a person do with their current investments when changing jobs or retiring? 2. What are the requirements for distributions? 3. How much money does a person need to retire? A brief presentation will touch on each topic along with a thorough question and answer period, which will be followed by one-on-one time with the SNBT retirement experts.

“Our employees are committed to helping individuals and business owners achieve their retirement goals,” said Reinke. “Through these three open houses, we are using our expertise to reach out to the community and help them learn ways to maximize their income during retirement.”
